Rumi Khan is missing his family on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha. The actor shared how he is going to celebrate the occasion by himself.
He says, “People celebrate this auspicious occasion with their family and friends. But because of my prior work commitments, I couldn't visit my parents. They are in my hometown. However, this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we will have to follow all the protocols while celebrating Eid. So I'm missing offering
Namaz
in the mosque along with my brothers and friends. I'm doing it at home all alone. Since two years, I've been missing the old normal celebrations. This time I haven't called any of my friends either. But as a ritual I will cook the sweet sheer at home and will order a festive meal. I'll also connect to my family virtually.”
Rumi urges people to enjoy the festival remembering the pandemic still exists. “I request people to remember how we all suffered all these months because of the coronavirus. We all need to enjoy festivals but keep in mind the Covid-19 protocols. We need to unite so that till the next Eid we win the fight from Covid and celebrate it the way it used to during old normal.”
