TV show Dheere Dheere Se is wrapping up on July 7. The lead actress Reena Kapoor is sad and shocked. The show that revolved around a widow, who faces struggles and misfortunes in life, commenced in December 2022. The show is going off air in eight months.
Reena said, "It was quite abrupt! I don't know the reason for the show going off air. Everyone in the team is shocked. There was a lot more to explore in the show; the journey of Bhavna had just begun. There was a lot more that had to be told. I strongly felt that the show had more scope to connect with masses till Bhavna married Raghav (Rahil Azam). We have not even shown how Bhavna's life is turning for the better after she gets married to Raghav. I had a very strong role after Ranju Ki Betiyaan and it was a good opportunity for me."
She added, "I am extremely sad and it will take a few weeks to recover from this shock."
There were rumours about how the storyline of the show was similar to Anupamaa. Reena, however denies it. She said, "I have been often asked this question about how not just Dheere Dheere Se but even Ranju Ki Betiyaan was along similar lines, but I don't agree with that. Anupamaa started the trend of a story that revolved around a middle-aged woman and her struggles and other shows could have the protagonist around the same age group but the situations and treatment are different. So, people should not compare shows. Our story was more about the trials of a widow woman. After Woh Rehne Waali Mehlo Ki, I have got strong roles but the last two shows gave me the opportunity to play lead roles."
