Veteran actress Jayati Bhatia, who is currently seen essaying the role of Sharda Suryavanshi in the TV show Jaane Anjaane Hum Mile, is based on the concept of an old tradition of aata sata pratha. The show stars Ayushi Khurana and Bharat Alhawat in the lead roles.
Jayati is known for her dynamic screen presence and powerful performances. The actress believes in constantly reinventing herself and consciously takes on roles that differ from her previous work. Sharing her approach to choosing roles, Jayati says, “In the past 10-12 years, I have preferred taking up shows which are different from my last show. Because after a point in TV, there won't be a lot of difference in the characters we play.”
The actress feels particularly connected to her current role and says, “When I was approached for this show, they told me that it was written keeping me in mind. As an actor, it is a huge compliment for me that a character is written keeping me in mind. I am totally enjoying playing Sharda in the show. When I don’t relate to the role, it gets even more challenging and exciting to play.”
