Juhi Parmar is marking a special milestone this week as she's celebrating 22 years of the iconic family drama '
Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan'. She shared a heartfelt video on Instagram to commemorate the occasion, in which she recreated her iconic look from the show.
Completing 22 years on 15th July, 'Kumkum - Ek Pyara Sa Bandhan' first premiered 22 years ago, becoming a staple in Indian television history. The family drama captured the hearts of many with its relatable themes and compelling characters. Juhi Parmar, who portrayed the titular character, took to social media to share her delight.
In her Instagram post, Juhi recreated her look as Kumkum, accompanied by the show's nostalgic title track. She penned a special note saying, "22 years, and it still feels like yesterday! Kumkum is a name that has become synonymous with Juhi. To this day, when I walk on the streets, many of you address me as Kumkum. The song still gives me goosebumps as it brings back so many memories—memories of seven years of shooting, of the wonderful scenes, and the camaraderie we all shared."
Expressing gratitude, she continued, "I am getting emotional as I write this because I can’t imagine what life would have been like had Kumkum not happened. I am ever so grateful to this show that has given me so much love from all of you; it’s truly priceless!"
She also announced a week-long celebration, adding, "Here begins a week of celebrating Kumkum as we complete 22 years on July 15th. We shall share love for Kumkum together because without you, this journey wouldn’t have been possible! Shukriya."
'Kumkum' premiered on July 15, 2002, on Star Plus and enjoyed a successful run for seven years. Airing at 1 pm, it became the leading show in its afternoon slot. The show also featured talented actors such as Alka Kaushal, Arun Bali, Malini Kapoor, and
Shishir Sharma, alongside Juhi Parmar,
Hussain Kuwajerwala, and Anuj Saxena.
