Many celebrities in the television industry have found their soulmates on set and got married soon. However, the relationship eventually fell apart due to several reasons. 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' actor Karan Mehra and Nisha Rawal's marriage hit a rough patch and things became much worse when Karan was detained by the Mumbai Police on June 1 after his wife Nisha filed a domestic abuse complaint against him. He was accused of having an extramarital affair and alleged domestic abuse. Nisha also called a press conference, where she showed the injuries on her head and accused Karan of physically abusing her. Karan, on the other hand, claimed that Nisha staged the entire scene in order to malign him and extort a huge alimony settlement. However, Nisha has said that she only wants custody of her son Kavish and doesn't want any alimony.

Despite the fact that they did not play each other's love interests in the popular show 'Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani', the show's sets served as Cupid for Vahbiz and Vivian Dsena. The television couple married in 2013 after dating for a short time. In an interview with ETimes TV, Vaishnavi said, "when nothing was working out, the last resort was to take stern action and I went in for a divorce. Domestic abuse was the main reason. Things could have sorted out between us, but it was the physical abuse that made us part ways.”
