Karan Wahi turns vegetarian amid his spiritual journey; says, “now everything feels very peaceful”
“I never thought in my life that I would become a vegetarian, but now, after wearing the Kanthi mala, everything feels very peaceful,” he said. He further opened up about his health issues and battle with a skin condition. Karan said, “My body started drying from the inside; half of my body would become dry. When I scratched, my skin would tear and bleed. When I woke up in the morning and looked at the bedsheet, it was red with bloodstains. Seeing it, I would get scared.”
Karan also shared, “Someone randomly told me 4–5 months ago in Delhi that I get very angry, and that I should stay calm and wear a tulsi mala. I never had such a thought. It’s not that I am not spiritual, but over time, I had drifted away from spirituality for whatever reason. But I don’t know… the last four to five months have been beautiful. Somehow, I found myself wondering how I could get a tulsi mala from Vrindavan.”
He further mentioned, “One thing led to another, but whenever I find time, whenever I’m distracted, or whenever I begin to think something negative, this thought comes to my mind—that when you are doing naam jaap, you are doing something good, and it also helps you forget all your stress and worries.”
Karan also made headlines recently after he refuted rumours of quitting acting amid his spiritual journey. He took to his Instagram handle and confirmed that he has not quit his acting career. On the work front, he is loved for his time on shows like Dill Mill Gaye, Khatron Ke Khiladi, and more.
