Kaun Banega Crorepati 17: Amitabh Bachchan on a poet’s struggles; says ‘I have seen my father how he would do a job and write poems’
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, Saket Agrawal from Mumbai takes the hot seat. He is HR Manager and shares his love for shayyari. He recites poems.

Saket shares that he likes to write since childhood. He said, “My father used to write, and I started writing seeing him. And even now whenever he writes, he makes sure to get his father’s approval.” When Big B asks him if he ever thought of taking it up professionally, he said, “I have always wanted to stand in front of an audience on the stage with a mic. But then life went on and I got a job and writing poems tooks a backseat.”
Big B replied, “With some it happens like that. Sometimes, there’s not much payment in this profession. I am saying with experience, my father would also write but the payment wasn’t that much. So he would also have a job. But then his poems got published. But if you don’t utilise your talent, many people get frustrated. But the famous poets, look at their foresight. Their poems are still relevant. There’s so much truth to it. Don’t stop practicing. Poets are immortal.”
