Kaun Banega Crorepati 17: Amitabh Bachchan shares his experience of visiting Nashik Jail and meeting prisoners; says ‘They ask for forgiveness’
In the latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17, Sneha Kapur’s game continues on the hot seat with host Amitabh Bachchan. A video montage is shown on Sneha. It is shown how her neighbours and family react to her profession. Her father says, “Working in a prison, it worries me if anyone will accept her as daughter-in-law. But she reinstated my belief saying that she will handle everything.”
Sneha shares, “Initially, it was scary because I had to interact with prisoners but now it is all settled. The place where I come, women can’t even step out of their houses, many of them are married. I feel lucky that I have got parents who have supported my decision. Working in prison department wasn’t my goal. I was studying engineering in Pune. After 2-3 years, I felt disinterested and thought I wouldn’t be able to give my 100%. During Covid, when I came home, my brother was preparing for UPSC and he told me I should also prepare. When I started reading those books, I realised my love for it.”
Big B asked her about her experience in the jail. She stated, “Everyone was supportive.”
Big B shared his own experience saying, “Once, I also got to visit Nashik jail during a shoot and I got to interact with some of them. They feel the penance. They ask for forgiveness but law is law.”
