Kaun Banega Crorepati 17: Biplab Biswas becomes the 2nd crorepati of the season; shocks host Amitabh Bachchan by answering the Rs 1 cr question within seconds

The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 started with contestant Biplab Biswas, who became the second crorepati of the season. Hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan, the nation's much-loved quiz show, 'Kaun Banega Crorepati' celebrated contestant Biplab's victory on the show.

The episode opened with host Amitabh Bachchan welcoming the contestants and conducting the Fastest Finger First round, after which Biplab Biswas from Ranchi, Jharkhand secured the hot seat. Before taking his place, Biplab asked Amitabh Bachchan for a hug, and the host gladly agreed. Biplab works as an Inspector in CRF and is currently posted in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. He talked about the harsh conditions and the struggle to survive in the jungle. As he spoke about the duty and sacrifices made by his colleagues for the country, Biplab became emotional and Big B comforted him.




After answering questions correctly back-to-back, he faced the question for Rs 50,000. Narmadapuram is a district located in which state? He selected Option C) Madhya Pradesh.

The contestant showcased exceptional knowledge and answered most of the questions on his own, without using any lifelines, up to Rs 5,00,000.

He played Super Sandook and answered all the 10 questions correctly and earned Rs 1,00,000. As he had not used any lifeline, the entire amount he won during super sandook was deposited to his account. After answering all the 10 Super Sandook questions correctly, host Amitabh Bachchan invited Biplab and his family to dine with him at his house.

For Rs 12,50,000, the contestant took help of "Audience Poll" lifeline. Which king of the Gahadavala dynasty fought against the Ghurids at Chandawar? He selected the most voted Option A) Jayachandra.

Big B next presented the question for Rs 25,00,000. Which of these countries in the Pacific Ocean gets its name from that of a person? He uses his lifeline 'Sanket Suchak' and selects Option C) Kiribati and wins the amount.

For the question of Rs 50,00,00 as Biplab was unaware of the answer, he took the help of lifeline '50-50'. On which island did Nobel Prize- recipient physicist Werner Heisenberg develop the foundational ideas of quantum mechanics? The contestant selects Option B) Helgoland and the answer turns out to be correct.

Before revealing the answer, Big B asked him about the reason for him being on the show and he shared that he wants to help as many people through the amount he wins on the show.

Biplab next faced the question for Rs 1 crore. What was the name of the ship that transported the Statue Of Liberty from France to the United States? Without taking any time, he instantly answered Option D) Isere. He said, "I don't want to waste anyone's time. I will say Option D)." In fact, he also knew the steers man's name who operated the ship. Biplab left host Amitabh Bachchan shocked as he answered the Rs 1 crore question swiftly without any problem.

Apart from Rs 1 crore, he also won a car. Biplab became the rollover contestant and will now question for Rs 7 crore.
