The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 17 featured the star cast of Happy Patel,
Vir Das Mithila Palkar and
Sharib Hashmi. The trio joined host Amitabh Bachchan on the KBC platform and started arguining over who will take the hot seat. Just when they were fighting, Mona Singh entered the stage and audience started cheering her hit character's name 'Jassi' from Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin.
When host Amitabh Bachchan asked them now who will take over the host seat as there are four people now, Mona Singh said, "Sir ye channel toh mera maika ka, it is like home coming for me. Toh hot seat par toh main he baithungi. Baaki ye teeno log decide kar lenge."

Finally, after mutual agreement Mona Singh and Vir Das took over the hot seat. Big B welcomed the two on the show and Vir Das revealed an unknown story about his first meeting with the megastar which lasted for 3 seconds. He shared that before becoming a well-known figure, he worked as a writer for popular award shows, and after five years of writing for them, he was once given a chance to perform a five-minute act on stage. After the act, while he was at the backstage where he met Mr. Bachchan and he told him 'Very funny'. Vir Das said, "Main freeze hogaya tha, mere muh se awaaz nahi nikli, sir aapke liye woh do shabhd, lekin ek chote artist ke liye woh bahot baat hoti hai."
While interacting with Mona, the actress revealed that her father is a huge fan of the show and had tried calling the hotline many times in the past to get a chance to be on the hot seat. She further shared that when she informed her family about appearing on the show, they all laughed and teased her, saying, “Tune toh padhayi bhi nahi ki hai.”
Mona added that she also jokingly pulled her elder sister’s leg, pointing out that despite having several degrees, it was Mona who got the chance to be on Kaun Banega Crorepati.
Mona and Vir revealed they will be donating the amount to Aamir Khan's charity foundation 'Paani'. When Big B stated that the film is also produced by Aamir, Vir joked, "Sir main bhi unki he charity hoon."
During the show, the studio audience got a chance to ask few questions to their favourite stars. One of the fans asked Mona Singh about her Jassi Jaisi Koi Nahin journey.
The actress shared that she always wanted to be an actor and that acting was a conscious choice, not something that happened by chance. She said that since childhood, she would perform in front of the mirror using her mother’s dupatta. She also revealed that no one in her family was from the film industry, and many often wondered what she would eventually do with her life.
Mona added, "Main roz Pune se Ashiad bus leke Mumbai aati thi audition dene. She would get off at Dadar and audition at Famous Studio and then catch an evening bus and go back to Pune.
She further shared, “I found out that Deeya and Tony were working on a project and auditions were underway, so I went for it. I cleared the first round, and then they kept calling me back for the third, fourth, and fifth rounds. In total, I ended up giving around 50 auditions. At one point, I asked the makers if they were even planning to cast me, as I was spending so much on auditions. They then told me it was a big show and that I had been finalised.”
Mona said that since then, her passion to achieve something in life has only grown, and she is ready to take on new challenges.
