Kunal Jaisingh has stepped into a new space — writing — making his debut as an author with a book he has been quietly working on for some time. Known for television shows such as Ishqbaaaz and Dil Boley Oberoi, this move marks a shift from performance to personal reflection. He says, “I’ve seen life in all its shades — the highs of success, the lows of disappointment, moments of resistance and support, and times when you feel completely alone. Through it all, I kept asking myself: why am I here, what is my purpose, where am I headed and what is the right way to live?”
These questions stayed with him for years, gradually taking a more structured form. “As I searched for answers and reflected on my journey, I found a certain clarity. If these learnings stayed only with me, it would be a missed opportunity,” he explains. This led to his book, Unlock Your Potential, which he describes as “a deeply personal attempt to share my understanding of life.”
Jaisingh is clear that the book is not a memoir. “It’s a distillation of my learnings — how to view challenges and opportunities, and how to navigate life. My experiences are just reference points; I’ve gone straight to the crux,” he says. he added, “I always thought I’d write something at 50 or 55. But then a publisher approached me, and I took it as a sign that maybe I’m ready now.”
