Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2's Shriya Tiwari on Mother's Day: We fight a lot but the love and understanding we have for each other is priceless

Actress Shriya Tiwari, currently gaining recognition for her role as Saloni Virani in the 2026 revival of the iconic TV show Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and as Barkat in Seher Hone Ko Hai, gets candid about the bond she shares with her mother giving a little glimpse into what she means to her.

She says, "I believe mothers play an important role in everyone’s life, and it’s the same for me. She is the most important part of my life, and I would do anything for her. Last August she was in really bad health and she’s still recovering. I didn’t work for 2–3 months and stayed with her during that time. She was really afraid because it was her first surgery. She has supported me through everything. To be honest, we fight a lot. I guess every mother-daughter duo is like that, but the love and understanding we have for each other is priceless."





Living away from home has taught Shriya to value the little moments the most. No matter how busy life gets, she always find ways to make her mom feel special.

She continued, "I always try to gift her something useful. She rarely buys things for herself like clothes or makeup, so I try to pamper her as much as I can. On birthdays, Mother’s Day, and every special occasion, I gift her clothes that are different from her usual style. I’ve been living away from home for years because of work, so I just try to be there for them whenever I can. Every time I walk through the door, the smile on both of my parents’ faces is priceless — it makes every trip home worth it."

The actress get nostalgic, remembers little things her mother did to shape her childhood in ways she only understand now.

"My mom is the most innocent person I know. She gets emotional very easily and is naturally shy, though she never shows it. She’s an amazing cook and has always made our lives easier since childhood. Until 7th grade, she used to carry me in the mornings because I couldn’t get up for school easily. She would hold me in her arms, cuddle me, and take me to freshen up just like that. I still remember all the memories we made together during childhood and continues to make new even today," she concluded.

Apart from appearing in TV shows such as Dhartiputra Nandini, Shriya made her mark in Gujarati cinema with films like Tuu To Gayo (2016), Tu Mari Aspaas Chhe (2017), and I.M.A. Gujju (2018).
