Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi fame Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana mark one month of their Vrindavan wedding; say ‘Our hearts belong to you’
Television actress Ashlesha Savant and Sandeep Baswana, who tied the knot last month after 20 years of togetherness, celebrated their one month wedding anniversary on December 16. On the special occasion, the actress shared a beautiful video from the wedding ceremony.
Sharing the video on her social media account, Ashlesha captioned it as “ॐ अपवित्रः पवित्रो वा सर्वावस्थां गतोऽपि वा,यः स्मरेत्पुण्डरीकाक्षं स बाह्याभ्यन्तरः शुचिः (sic),” she wrote in Sanskrit.
She further wrote, “One month to a blessing in Vrindavan. Thank you to everyone. We couldn't have imagined doing this anywhere else. Our hearts belong to you. Everything was so soulful, and that was the essence of that day. #grateful #gratitude #vrindavan.”
In the video, Ashlesha is seen dressed in her bridal attire, beaming with joy as she prepares to begin a new chapter in her life.
The video also offers glimpses of the wedding rituals and traditions. Her husband, Sandeep Baswana, looks dashing in his elegant outfit, while Ashlesha is seen sharing heartfelt moments with her family as they walk her down the aisle.
The couple announced their marriage last month by sharing a series of photos and videos from the temple wedding. Sandeep and Ashlesha had shared their wedding photos on their social media accounts. The captioned the pictures, “And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs… Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings. #justmarried #grateful #us.”
For those unaware, Sandeep and Ashlesha met on the sets of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2002.
Earlier in an interview with Bombay Times, Sandeep recalled how their relationship began, “Since her home was far away from the set, she used to spend a few nights at my home during the week. And those few nights became months and we realised that we were happy with each other. In fact, after a few months of living in, I was scared and wanted to break up (smiles). But Ashlesha pointed out how we always had the option to separate if things didn’t work out. Gradually, our bond got stronger and then the thought of separation never crossed our minds.”
