Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh have been in a relationship for the past 12 years. The couple is engaged and have been living-in together. However, their marriage has been on the backburner since the past 12 years and Payal is unhappy about it. The actress, in a recent episode, got triggered when Karanvir Bohra said, "Sangram is joru ka ghulam" and made quite some revelations. On Sangram being called 'Joru Ka Ghulam'
During a fight, Karanvir Bohra called Payal Rohatgi's boyfriend Sangram Singh "Joru Ka Ghulam." This triggered her and she warned him to keep Sangram away from the fiasco. She screamed, “Sangram is not joru ka ghulam.” Payal revealed that their wedding has been delayed for 12 years now. "Sangram is not joru ka ghulam. Waise hi 12 saal se hamari shaadi delay ho rahi hai. I don’t want his parents to think Payal prefers him to be joru ka ghulam and that’s why our wedding is getting delayed. You know we have been engaged for so long and we have not been married."
On Sangram's friend provoking him
Payal Rohatgi also further added that Sangram's friends keep provoking him to keep women under their shell. "And there Sangram’s friends provoke him. We have been engaged for so long and we have not been married because we have not been able to come to a point. I want to get married to Sangram. People tell him, ‘You are a Jatt, aurat ko aisa karna chahiye’ and I keep trying to change myself. I want to get married. It’s been 12 years. Sangram is not ‘joru ka ghulam’ and I am not his ‘pao ki jutti'," said the 37-year-old.
On living-in together
Payal Rohatgi and Sangram Singh met each other inside the Bigg Boss 2 house, fell in love, and have remained thick ever since. The duo got engaged and have been living-in together for the past many years. Recently, in an exclusive interview with ETimes TV, Sangram shared whether Payal's family is okay with them staying under one roof before marriage. He said, "No objection from their side. They are quite forward in their thinking. They trust me and know what I am doing is right."
On having their share of fights
Sangram had told us, "Jahan do bartan hain, wahan aawaz to aayegi. But Payal is a very nice girl. I think she hasn't been understood. We both give a lot of freedom to each other in the creative space. I remember a lot of people predicted that our relationship won't last. I was told Payal is not the right girl for me. There was a Brahmin who was a fraud; Payal used to get pujas done from him. I asked her to stop everything- when that man does not know his own future, how will he tell ours? Every relationship has its share of differences. But trust me, we have been thick and never taken a break in our relationship."
Marriage plans
Sangram Singh has revealed that he will have a July wedding with fiancé Payal Rohatgi on July 21. "We have been together for 11-12 years now. We started living-in since the longest time. It's time we tie the knot." They will either have their wedding in Gujarat (Payal's hometown) or Haryana (Sangram's hometown) and it will be a simple one, said Sangram.
On having babies
Sangram Singh expressed his desire of having babies soon but also left their fate in God's hands. He told ETimes TV, "Ab shaadi ho rahi hai toh, toh family toh start karenge. Our parents are old and so we want the kids early, but rest depends on God."
