MasterChef India: Bhavana Pandey shares about Chunky Panday's habit of skipping anniversary gifts; reveals daughter Ananya Panday’s wedding menu
MasterChef India continues to celebrate the spirit of Indian food and chefs, where Jodis from various parts of the country represent their culinary skills. In the ongoing Shadi Special week, the dynamic power couple of Bollywood Chunkey Panday and Bhavana Pandey graced the show and turn out to be the show stealers. The official Instagram of the channel airing the show shared a promo where Chef and judge Ranveer Brar announced the first team service challenge. He says, "Today, you have to prepare a 7-dish wedding buffet. So, this is the first team service challenge of our Master of India team. The Great Indian Wedding Buffet."
Chunky Panday the guest on the show jokes, "I always wanted to get married twice. And that too with Bhavna. Let's do it for the third time, sir. Hattrick! Hattrick!"
Chef Kunal announces that the contestants have to cook for 25 people as part of the challenge. Next in the promo, Bhavana shares how Chunky always remember the anniversary but forgets to give a gift. To this he says, "Because if I forget the anniversary, I wouldn't be here. I would have been in the hospital."
The Bollywood couple also revealed what they would you like to have for their daughter Ananya's wedding? They shared, "Mutton curry, and the Indian style tiramisu, Garlic pickle and Purple parathas."
During a candid conversation with the judges, Bhavana Pandey playfully calls out Chunky Panday, mentioning that ”Shaadi ko 28 years honewale hai aur har saal Chunky bolte hai ki main tumhare liye kuch bohot badhiya Anniversary ka gift launga, aaj tak nahi hua.”
Chunky steps ahead and responds to her by saying, ”Aaj jahan leke aaya hoon, I have brought you to the world's biggest cook show, Jaha aapko hindustan ka har kone ka Khana milta hai, har plate mein hindustan ka naam aur bill bhi nahi bharna pade”.
Following this fun, light-hearted moment, the judges reveal the blind guessing challenge for the Jodis, where they have to blind guess the ingredient kept in front of them.
Chef Ranveer Brar was impressed with the performances of the jodis in this challenge. He says, "Masterchef India ne duniya bhar ke masterchefs keliye benchmark set kardiya hai ki yeh naya bharat hai”.
