Megha Barsenge actors Kinshuk Mahajan and Neha Rana seek divine blessings at a Gurudwara in Chandigarh ahead of the show launch
‘Megha Barsenge’ portrays the plight of abandoned brides who are left behind by their husbands right after marriage. This family drama centres around Megha (played by Neha Rana), a young woman with dreams of a grand wedding. Unfortunately, her dreams are shattered when Manoj (played by Kinshuk Mahajan) betrays her, leaving her alone amidst the chaos. Enter Arjun (played by Neil Bhatt), who becomes Megha’s confidant and greatest support. Ahead of the show’s launch, the talented cast members Neha Rana and Kinshuk Mahajan visited a gurudwara in Chandigarh to seek blessings and good luck from the almighty for their new venture.
Reflecting on his visit to the Gurudwara Kinshuk says, “I always feel overwhelmed and emotional when I visit a gurudwara. Growing up in a Punjabi family, I would often go with my parents to seek the blessings of the almighty and to celebrate good news. As I begin this new chapter with Megha Barsenge, the serenity of the gurudwara brings me great comfort. This visit gave me a renewed sense of strength and positivity. I hope the blessings I received will shine through in my portrayal of Manoj and resonate with the audience.”
Neha Rana expresses, “I have spent a lot of time in Chandigarh during my shoot for Junooniyatt and coming back to the city felt like coming home. Whenever I had the time, I would visit the gurudwara, and it always brought me peace. This time, my visit was not just to seek blessings but also to express my gratitude for all that I am blessed with. Being part of a socially relevant show like Megha Barsenge is an honour. At the gurudwara, I prayed for strength to do justice to the responsibility of raising awareness about bride abandonment through the show.”
Watch 'Megha Barsenge' premiering on the 6th August at 7:00 PM.
