Megha Chakraborty, who played the role of Vaani, said, "After Imlie, I decided to be part of Mishri because the role was interesting. Initially, it was not a negative role because Vani and Raghav are portrayed to be in love with each other. I enjoyed playing the bold and independent girl Vaani. I had a good experience working with the entire team of the show." Megha is not planning to take a break. She plans to get another show soon. She said, "I want to continue playing lead roles. In Imlie I had a great role and Mishri, too I played a very different role. I want to play lead roles, which will challenge me as an actor."

Other actors in the show included Manmohan Tiwari, Jasveer Kaur, Aman Verma and Swati Chitnis.

In an earlier interview with BT, Namish Taneja, who played the lead role, said, "Mishri is a very interesting story of a guy, who is very calm and knows how to deal with difficult situations and feels responsible towards his family. Out of duty he has to marry a girl who he doesn't love and he even informs her about it. In most shows the guy generally continues to be married to the girl he does not love, but here the girl walks out of the marriage. My show is different from the usual shows and I am excited about it."
