A few reports claim that actor Dushyant Wagh, who was last seen in

Mere Angane Mein

, has been roped in to play a key role in Battle of Saragarhi. The actor is also known for the show Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha.

An entertainment portal reported that he will be seen as a cook of the battalion and the only one who is not a soldier. From the looks of it, the story seems to be an interesting one. Only time will tell if it will have the desired impact.

Dushyant Wagh has also made his presence felt in a number of films. He is known for essaying the adorable character of "Guru" in the Hindi Television serial

Na Bole Tum... Na Maine Kuch Kaha

. He is also loved as 'Nandu' on the popular TV show Mere Angne Mein.

The series, titled Sarfarosh: Saragarhi 1897, will go on air early next year. For the uninitiated, the battle was fought on September 12, 1897, in the North-West Frontier Province (in modern-day Pakistan), 21 Sikh soldiers part of the British Indian Army stood their ground during an attack by 10,000 Afghan tribesmen even though they were vastly outnumbered. The Sikhs were led by Havildar Ishar Singh.
