Actor Faisal Khan recently met with an accident and suffered a severe injury on his right leg on the sets of his show Chandragupta Maurya. Doctors advised the actor bed rest for two months, forcing not just him but also his partner Muskaan Kataria to quit the dance reality show Nach Baliye. While Faisal is on the road to recovery, Muskaan, who hails from Jaipur, gave a solo performance before the couple officially quit the show. The Jaipurbased model and a graduate in journalism and mass communication tells us, “One is bound to feel disappointed – I guess, destiny has some other plans for us. It was my TV debut – an experience that I’ll cherish for a lifetime. I knew how to dance but because I didn’t take any professional training, I was nervous. Being a non-dancer, I needed more rehearsals than Faisal but the confidence that Faisal and my choreographer Omkar Shinde showed in me made me perform to the best of my abilities. It was a great experience because not even once anyone made me feel like a newcomer.”

Muskaan and Faisal met at a show in Jodhpur. While Faisal was a celebrity guest, Muskaan had gone to walk for a fashion show. The Jaipur girl didn’t know who Faisal was and casually asked for a mobile charger from him and that’s how the two got talking.

She says that while the two have been together for a while now and share a lot of personal things with each other, it is while doing the reality show that Faisal shared some ‘super’ personal things about him which he would not have shared otherwise. “While we know each other inside out, while doing rehearsals, there were so many new and super personal things that I got to know about Faisal. The bond that we share has deepened,” says Muskaan, who has been living in Mumbai for the past one year.

Their families are happy with their relationship. “I met Faisal much before I shifted to Mumbai. Earlier, we were in a long-distance relationship. I made him talk to my mother on video call and so did he. Then, he came to Jaipur to meet my parents. Our families understand our relationship,” she shares.

The girl has plans to make a career in acting, be it TV or films. “Now that I have made my debut on TV, I want to get into full-fledged acting,” says Muskaan who has done a couple of commercials.
