When Dolphin Dubey suffered a heart attack in 2018 at the age of 29, it made her realise how important it was to strike the right work-life balance. Talking about her health scare for the first time, Dolphin says, “I suffered a minor heart attack on the sets of Tu Hai Aashiqui about seven years ago. Fortunately, I did not have to undergo a bypass surgery, but it was a wake-up call for me. I realised that I needed to slow down, especially because I am a single mother.”

The actress says that focusing on making lifestyle changes became her top priority. “I started doing yoga to bring that discipline into my life. I even cut off unhealthy food items from my diet. It was a slow process, but today, I feel fit and healthy.”

‘I want to strike the right work-life balance’Dolphin, who was last seen in the TV show Suhaagan, is on a short break. She shares, “I wanted to spend some time at home. My daughter, Kamakshi, is in the 10th grade and has her board exams this year, so I wanted to focus on that. I want to strike the right balance between my work and my home. Having said that, I hope to resume work in a couple of months.”

Dolphin Dubey, who is a single mother to a 15-year-old, tells us that it is not easy to handle things alone, but she is grateful for the fact that her daughter, Kamakshi understands and supports her. Dolphin separated from her husband in 2016. Earlier in an inetrview she told us, “We have not been living together for the past seven years. I have been on my own.”
