My mom says I have played my father’s role in the family: Rashmi Gupta

Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 actress Rashmi Gupta has not had it easy, but she is glad she faced all obstacles in life and reached this far.

Rashmi hails from Lucknow and talking about the time when she was a kid, she shares, ”My childhood was not the same as any other child because I lost my father when I was five years old. He was the sole earner in our family. I started working right after my schooling. Responsibilities came quite early on my shoulders and I had no choice. I don't have many memories of my father, but I wish I had them so I could re-live those memories as there are times when I miss him a lot."

Rashmi further adds, "After dad passed away, my mother tried to get a hold on the business. But it was not easy. Her whole life went into managing our home and her kids. I started earning before my younger brother and supported him in his education. That's why my mom says that I have played my father’s role in the family."


Becoming an actress was a dream and her family supported her. She says, ”My mother and brother have been very supportive. The trust and confidence they showed in me helped get this far. And I have a lot more to achieve which I hope to in the day's ahead."
