Nach Baliye 9- Madhurima Tuli: The deep love that Vishal and I had, has changed into intense hatred now

Actress Madhurima Tuli is currently seen slaying with her performance in Nach Baliye with ex Vishal Aditya Singh. The former couple is often seen to be quarreling on sets and agrees to the fact that there is a lack of compatibility amidst them. In conversation with TimesofIndia.com, the actress spoke about the controversies revolving her and Vishal in the show. Photo- Instagram.

How difficult or easy is it in performing with Vishal especially when you lack compatibility?

It becomes difficult. Our Self-respect, our egos clash big time and it becomes very disturbing. I don't feel like performing with him. Initially, I would just shut my soul and wasn't bothered by him but with things happening, again and again, it affected me and it's very difficult to cope up, I can't express. When you are unhappy with each other, it's not a positive feeling to work. In the end, it's a competition so you have to give in your best and be together for the times we have loved each other. How patient is Sanam Johar (Choreographer) with you two?

He is like a father on set. He is very supportive, patient, calm and a great counsellor. He understands the issue and keeps telling us to work better together and resolve the differences for the show's sake. He at times does storm out of the rehearsal hall looking at our issues but he comes back to help us. I hope we give him what he deserves. Photo- Instagram.

Madhurima talks about her mother trying to resolve issues between her and Vishal

He has respected my mother a lot and listens to her. I was initially against getting any family member on the show. But Vishal had kept saying it on record that he was close to my mother and I think the makers tried to get her on board to help resolve all issues so that negativity amidst us is at bay. It was a very emotional moment for me as my mother had come on the sets on my birthday and she tried to help us out. My mother always thought that Vishal was right and I was wrong initially. But after seeing the show, she realised that it was a fault from both ends. She not just explained to him but also reprimanded me for my flaws in our relationship. Photo- Instagram.

With much of drama on the show, do you feel it's taking away from dance?

There are people who are loving the controversies too. We have come into limelight and that's good for us in a way. Controversies do help in getting more eyeballs to the show but the makers are focusing on dance only. Its got nothing to do with just controversies. You can't just say that the show has controversies and no dance. It's not right. Photo- Instagram.

Madhurima on spat with Urvashi Dholakia

I initially did not want to talk about it but I was prodded to speak on Urvashi's comment on her Nach Baliye exit. I just feel that Urvashi couldn't somehow take her eviction and accept her exit from Nach Baliye 9. I never have said anything against her or her character and why will I. She has been an inspiration and I do look up to her. I don't think I have said anything that she should feel bad about. She has been great on the show and I feel she should have been a part of the show for more. But it's a competition. The judges aren't partial and are looking at dancing and not controversies. If one isn't getting votes, no one can help it. Photo- Instagram.

Madhurima on reconciling with Vishal

Vishal and I know each other a lot and way too much and that's also a problem. The way we are fighting and ego clashes are happening, it's difficult to reconcile. The way he has been behaving all this while has been very torturous for me. Reconciliation looks difficult. The love that we had once upon a time has changed into hatred now. And we are now focusing on career and giving it time. Photo- Instagram.

Madhurima talks about her low phase in life

During Nach Baliye I have had certain low moments. Before the show also I have had extremely low moments. After Baby, I refused to do a couple of shows and somehow started getting in my shell in life and felt really demotivated and low of myself. It took me two years to get out of the low phase and I had to fight it out. But gladly I got Chandrakanta and that helped me come back and gain confidence. Photo- Instagram.
