Naina Gupta joins Tose Nainaa Milaai Ke 2, says, 'This role is special because every homemaker will relate'
Actor Naina Gupta has joined Tose Nainaa Milaai Ke 2, where she plays Savitri, a homemaker navigating emotional and societal challenges within her family.
“I’m delighted to have one more show with the same production house after Maana Ke Hum Yaar Nahi. When they narrated Savitri’s role, I couldn’t say no,” she shares.
Opening up about her character, Naina explains that Savitri’s journey is layered and relatable. “My story in the show is about a homemaker whose family has a low opinion of her and whose husband cheats on her. The audience will see her struggle to earn self-respect and her place in the family,” she says.
The character’s arc focuses on personal growth while dealing with societal expectations. “She navigates relationships and challenges while trying to find her own identity and dignity,” Naina adds.
Having previously portrayed positive roles in shows like Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman, Ganga, and Kabhi Kabhie Ittefaq Se, the actor feels Savitri stands out. “This role is special because every homemaker will relate to it,” she says.
She highlights the emotional reality many women face. “A woman often keeps everything aside for her family and children, yet she is underestimated—no matter how talented or educated she is. She is often blamed, but still continues to spread love and maintain peace. I truly hope my story as Savitri influences the audience and makes them see the strength and silent struggles of homemakers,” she concludes.
