In a candid conversation on a podcast, Sidhu opened up about Kapil's tough times, he said, "When Kapil was not well, he was jittery, he was going through a tough time, and people told me he was over." Sidhu defended Kapil's potential, claiming that his abilities were unrivalled. "You do not have a genius like him. Talent does what it can do; genius does what he must do," Sidhu continued.

Reflecting on their past, Sidhu expressed a desire to rejoin the original cast members, including Ali Asgar and Sunil Grover, who were known for their iconic roles on the show. Sidhu added that he recently met Sunil Grover, who played "Gutthi," and referred to him as another comedic genius.

“There was dadi (Ali Asgar), and everyone. I wish everyone gets together… Everyone dispersed. Now Gutthi (Sunil Grover) is back. He met me in Goa. He is wonderful. He comes on for 10-15 minutes, he regales everybody. He is another genius," he added.

Kapil Sharma's rise to popularity was fraught with ups and downs. He became a household celebrity thanks to his comedy show, which has evolved over time but remains a top-rated show on Indian television. However, his move into film production proved costly. Kapil recently confessed that making two films left him destitute, resulting in melancholy and severe financial stress.

Kapil also discussed his struggles with alcoholism and the impact it had on his emotional well-being. He explained how he acquired anxiety and sadness, which led him to cancel shoots and isolate himself at home. During this time, Kapil earned a bad reputation for being untrustworthy and frequently causing job delays.
