Nikhhil Raaj Khera on Tumm Se Tumm Tak: My character is totally different from the ones I have played before

Kumkum Bhagya fame Nikhhil Raaj Khera has joined the cast of Tumm Se Tumm Tak, as Dr. Mohit’s father. In an exclusive conversation, the actor shared that he is enjoying his character, as it is completely opposite to what he has played before.

"In my previous shows my character was loud and dominating, but in this show my character is very cool and calm, and he carries lots of positive vibes and happiness. So in a way it is totally different from the ones I have played before," he said.

He went through a lot of look tests and costume trials for the character and thanked Studio LSD for making it feel like a breeze. He said, "Almost 70-75 changes were done to give a proper look to this character. The creatives of Studio LSD and Channel have been very supportive."

He even appreciated the team for being so loving and calm. He said, "It's a privilege to work with Studio LSD, as LSD means Laxmi, Saraswati, and Durga, and they are truly following it. They are rooted, lovable, and vibrant. So the entire crew carries lots of positive vibes."

Talking about his character, Nikhhil shared that he is a loving father who couldn't become a doctor but is still very satisfied as his son became a doctor. He continued, "He himself runs a chemist shop and helps people for free to improve their mental health. He is a psychiatrist without a degree."

"The day his son became a doctor was the happiest day of his life; he can go to any limits to protect his son's happiness, and he happily agreed to his son's marriage with Anu even though Anu's parents belong to the lower middle class," he added.

And he finds his character very similar to his real self. He said, "I am a strong believer in karma and God. I strongly believe what you give comes back to you, so never do any bad karma, which will be very difficult for you to face in the future, as what you are giving will come back to you for sure, and my character is of the same opinion."

While his character is busy preparing for his son's wedding ceremonies—roka, shagun, marriage, reception, etc.—he revealed that the viewers are in for new twists. He said, "My character has sensed that Anu is tense, so he is trying to figure out the reason for that. It's a love triangle, and so many twists and turns will unfold in the coming weeks and months."

Tumm Se Tumm Tak revolves around Arya and Anu, a couple fighting with their age-gap relationship. Nikhhil shared, "The story is very unusual, as the age difference between Anu and Arya is big, which is generally taken the wrong way in our society, but this story is of pure and true love. So will they achieve their love, and for that, you have to keep watching this beautiful saga of a love story."
