Niya Sharma replaces Priyamvada Kant on 'Tenali Rama'

Priyamvada Kant

quitting the TV show, '

Tenali Rama

', as she doesn’t want to play a mom on screen.

Well, we now have it that the makers of the show have finalised her replacement.

Niya Sharma

, who was last seen on Vani Rani, will essay the character of Tenali’s wife, Sharda.

Unlike Priyamvada, Niya seems to have no qualms about playing a mom on screen. She says, “After playing a negative character on my last show, 'Vani Rani', I wanted to take up something different. And, what better than a comedy show! I have no issues playing a mother, because almost every actress ends up doing that on TV these days. In fact, I’m excited to play the part, as it’s a different kind of historical comedy show.”
