Pandya Store fame Simran Budharup shares her harrowing experience of Lalbaugcha Raja darshan; writes ‘My mother’s phone was snatched, I was rough-handled’
Pandya Store actress Simran Budharup recently opened up about a distressing experience during her visit to Lalbaugcha Raja. The actress, who went with her mother to seek blessings, encountered rude behavior from the staff, leading to an unpleasant and shocking incident. Simran decided to speak out about the mishandling to raise awareness and demand accountability.During the visit, Simran’s mother attempted to take a picture while in the queue.
As it was Simran’s turn for darshan, her mother, standing behind her, clicked a photo. A staff member abruptly snatched her mother's phone. When Simran’s mother tried to retrieve it, she was pushed aside. Witnessing this, Simran intervened, only to be met with rough behavior from the bouncers.Simran further explained that when she began recording the incident, the staff attempted to snatch her phone as well.
In a video she posted online, she can be heard shouting, “Mat Karo! Kya kar rahe ho aap?” The situation only deescalated once the staff realized she was an actress, and they backed off.She wrote sharing the video, “Today, I visited Lalbagh Cha Raja with my mother to seek blessings, but our experience was marred by the unacceptable behavior of the staff. A man from the organization snatched my mother’s phone while she was clicking the picture (she was In The queue behind me not that she was taking any extra time as It was my turn for the Darshan), and when she tried to retrieve it, he pushed her. I intervened, and the bouncers rough-handled me, when I started recording this behavior of them they tried snatching my phone too.”
The actress expressed her disappointment with the entire experience, emphasizing that devotees visit such places with good intentions to seek positivity and blessings, not expecting to be mistreated. She acknowledged that managing large crowds during such festivals can be difficult, but this does not excuse the aggressive behavior toward devotees.Simran shared her story to shed light on the disrespect she and her mother faced, urging event organizers to ensure that staff members treat visitors with kindness and dignity. She hopes that her experience will inspire changes in the way such events are managed, creating a more positive and respectful environment for all devotees.
