Parineeta Borthakur cast opposite Hiten Tejwani in Mahesh Pandey’s ‘Khandaan’

’. After we informed our readers that the makers have cast

Sonal Vengurlekar

and

Rinku Dhawan

to play beti and maa, and Hiten Tejwani has been finalised to play the hero, we are back with yet another update. Actress Parineeta Borthakur, who was seen as Anjana Hooda in ‘Bepannah’, has been roped in to play the heroine opposite Hiten.

Informs a source associated with the project, “What’s special about ‘Khandaan’ is that it will not just revolve around young actors, as is seen in most TV shows. It centres around a middle-aged couple and their strong family values. While Hiten will play the righteous man, Parineeta will play his wife.”

Parineeta remained unavailable for comment.

As reported by us, the show is set in Uttar Pradesh and will revolve around a joint family and its values. ‘Khandaan’ will also mark the reunion of Sonal and Rinku, two years after their last outing with ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’, in which they played bahu and saas.
