Parleen Gill calls his journey from Indian Idol 'truly magical'
Parleen Gill reflects on his journey from Indian Idol to performing globally, calling it “magical” while staying focused on growth and discipline. “It has truly been a magical journey,” he says. “Coming from an army background… I never imagined I would move to Mumbai and build a stable career in the music industry… I feel extremely grateful. God has been very kind.”
Looking ahead, Parleen adds, “My next goal is simple but powerful: to become the best version of myself and grow into one of India’s top singers and music directors.” On navigating competition, he shares, “I focus only on myself… It’s like driving a car: you stay in your lane… That mindset keeps me grounded and consistent.”
Addressing insecurity in the profession, he says, “Any profession becomes insecure when you start comparing yourself to others… If you stay focused on your growth… there’s nothing to fear.” On longevity, Parleen notes, “Only if they stop putting in the work… Otherwise, there’s no limit. Consistency is everything.”
Crediting his upbringing, he adds, “That ‘never give up’ attitude is in my blood… quitting is never an option for me,” signing off with, “Whatever you’re doing in life, just never give up.”
