Priya Bathija to return to TV after two years, will enter Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal

Priya Bathija, who was last seen playing a daayan in the TV show Daayan (2018-19) is all set to enter the show Tere Ishq Mein Ghayal. The actress is returning to TV after two years.

She says, "I am very excited to be part of this show, because it looks different and is a mix of fantasy/fictional characters. I have been doing TV since Khwaish (2006) and Kasamh Se (2008-2009) days and feel that content in TV has changed a lot over the years. People are ready to experiment more and I see a lot of new changes in shows. Audiences are also ready to accept change and watch different things. TV is a great medium and while OTT and alternative platforms are watched more in metros, TV shows are largely watched by masses across the country, especially smaller towns and cities. So, it is important to work in different genres because we have audience for it." She added, "TV is a great medium and it has a vast reach. Also, I am glad that even now, I am getting to do interesting roles."

Priya started her career with shows like Kasamh Se and Ek Boond Ishq. In the last few years, she was seen in TV shows like Suryaputra Karn and CID, too. She says, "Daayan was also a supernatural show, but in a different space. I played a daayan and it was something new for me. Yash Patnaik's Tere Ishq Mein is fantasy/fiction but again has different content. I am looking forward to my role because it will bring in many twists and turns."
