Purab Kohli is happy to be back on television

Purab Kohli, who started his career with the cult television show ‘

Hip Hip Hurray

’ in 1998, is back with his new show, ‘

Prisoners Of War

’ (POW). Purab, who later moved to VJing, hosting and eventually movies is happy to be where he belongs after 18 years.

In an interview to a daily, he said that viewers are game for all sorts of genres –be it supernatural themed ones or ones similar to ‘POW’. He added that while channels are moving towards creating quality content, channels often alienate audiences who want quality content as they are not large in numbers. He also attributed this shift to the rising number of web series.
