Rajeev Khandelwal Reveals He Makes Chai for His Wife Every Day
On Tum Ho Naa , an emotional and thought provoking moment came to life as Rajeev Khandelwal shared a heartfelt exchange. She shared an unknown fact with contestant Poonam and her husband and beautifully highlighted the essence of shared responsibilities. He spoke about redefining conventional roles within a marriage.
During the interaction, Rajeev asked Poonam what she would do with the prize money. She said she would renovate her kitchen. He then asked if she would buy something for her husband. Poonam replied that the renovation was for him, as he cooks every day.
Poonam’s husband shared that he also observes fast on Karwa Chauth for his wife. He says, “365 din mein ek hi din aata hai, ek din toh sacrifice kar sakta hai har husband apni wife ke liye.”
His gesture received applause from the audience and showed the couple’s love and respect for each other.
Rajeev, who got moved by their story, opened up about his own life. He shared, “Aap har roz inke liye khana banate hain, aur main bhi har roz apni wife ke liye chai banata hoon. Aapko pata hai, har roz subah garam paani deta hoon.”
He said he would talk about it later, showing that household duties should be shared.
He further appreciated Poonam’s gesture to spend the prize money on making the kitchen more comfortable for her husband. He called it as a thoughtful and loving gesture.
When Rajeev asked if there was a special reason behind her husband cooking daily, he replied, “Meri life se mere mom-dad ke jaane ke baad, mera ghar jo sambhala hai, woh Poonam ne hi sambhala hai.”
Reflecting on the moment, Rajeev remarked, “I think very few women reach a stage in life where their husband can sit comfortably and say, ‘I cook for her every day, and I want to keep cooking for her for the rest of my life.’”
