Reyhna Pandit: Aaliya is a powerful role in 'Kumkum Bhagya' and I am glad to be doing it

Actress Reyhna Pandit has been chosen to play the role of the vicious Aaliya in 'Kumkum Bhagya'. Reyhna was last seen in 'Manmohini' and also played the negative role of Svetlana Kapoor in 'Ishqbaaz'. The actress made her

debut with Nia Sharma and Ravi Dubey's 'Jamai Raja', wherein she played the role of Samaira.

When we contacted Reyhna, she confirmed the news. She said, "Yes, I am happy I have bagged the role of Aaliya in 'Kumkum Bhagya. It is a powerful role and challenging. I am glad I am doing it." Ask her about stepping into Shikha's role and she says, "I don't see it that way. Shikha has embraced motherhood and I am happy for her. I feel her little baby girl has blessed both of us, because I have got this role."

Ask Reyhna if she is happy doing negative or vampish roles in TV shows and she said, "I feel every role has different shades and Aaliya is also very different from Svetlana or any other role that I have played in the past. They maybe negative roles but they are different. I started shooting yesterday." She added, "In fact, the last three months have been so confusing and I had constant thoughts of my career. I was not able to understand what will be my next role and how will I get something in this situation but I seriously feel that God has blessed me and I am thankful to the production house for choosing me."

, who was earlier playing the character of Aaliya in the show. Shikha and her pilot husband Karan Shah, recently became parents of a baby girl. Currently, Shikha is on a maternity break. Her baby is named Alayna Singh Shah.

The entire team of 'Kumkum Bhagya' including the lead actors Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia started shooting a few days back for fresh episodes of the show amid the COVID-19 crisis.
