Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram

’. While he played Radha’s father Vrishabhanu in ‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’, he will essay the role of Mareech in ‘Kahat Hanuman Jai Shri Ram’. He shares, “According to Hindu mythology, Mareech, a deer, had helped Ravan in kidnapping Sita. However, since the track revolves around the child Hanuman, my character will be comical and negative.”

He is excited about associating with the production house again after his last stint on ‘Paramavatar Shri Krishna’. He adds, “I got a few offers during the lockdown, but things didn’t materialise. I did one episodic as well after shoots resumed, but then this offer came by. I am familiar with the production house and have worked with them in my previous mythological show. They always offer me good characters in most of their shows, so there was no option of saying no. I was also keen to commence shooting again with a regular show and character. So, I took it up. I am sure I will soon get an offer to be a part of daily soap as well. I think the most important thing is to keep doing good work. Keep on going and keep working.”

The actor has already started shooting for the show. Talking about working in the new normal, he says, “Yes, it’s tough. One has to be extremely careful. Although all precautionary measures have been taken by the production house, I think you have to shoulder some responsibility, too. Your safety along with others shooting/working with you, is in your hands. I carry my own food and everything else I need. I drink a lot of hot water whenever I am in my make-up room. By adding immunity boosters to my diet, sanitising my costume to wearing the mask immediately after the shot is done... I think that’s the new normal we are getting used to.”
