Roopam Sharma joins the cast of Maddam Sir

A new entry is all set to take place in Maddam Sir – Kuch Baat Hai Kyunki Jazbaat Hai, which features Gulki Joshi, Yukti Kapoor, Sonali Naik and Bhavika Sharma as the four leading ladies. Roopam Sharma has been finalised to join the cast – she will eventually emerge as the fifth female lead.Roopam says, “Yes, I will play one of the lead characters. I am not at liberty to reveal much about my character just yet, but I am sure that viewers will love it.”Interestingly, the show will mark her acting debut. She shares, “I am from Delhi and while pursuing my post-graduation, I started modelling. I always aspired to become an actor. I am excited about this change and have embraced it wholeheartedly. I am used to the hectic and long shooting hours, as I have done that during my modelling days as well. My family is also excited for me because I am the first one to join the world of modelling and showbiz. My sister has been a driving force; it was she who encouraged me to pursue acting.”She adds, “My days as a model will always be special. I am here because of my experience in modelling. It gave me the confidence to face the camera.”Roopam feels fortunate to be working with an amazing set of co-actors. She says, “All of them have welcomed me with open arms. They are warm and supportive. I am glad that I am making my debut with Kinnari and Jay Mehtaa’s Maddam Sir. It is a new challenge and I will work hard to prove myself.”
