Rumours about my role coming to an end in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai are baseless: Jay Soni

There are rumours doing the rounds that Jay Soni, who is currently seen playing the role of Abhinav Sharma in Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlataa Hai, will be exiting the show soon. According to the buzz, Abhimanyu (Harshad Chopda) and Akshara (Pranali Rathod) will then reunite. Their son Abheer will be instrumental in bringing them together.

Jay, however, refuted this saying, "All this is just speculation. I am so glad that my character Abhinav has received so much love from viewers. I am thankful to the writers that they have written this character so well. My track is not getting over any time now or in the near future. As of now, I am going to be an important part of the show, so people should not fall for these speculations. These rumours are baseless."

Jay is happy being a part of the show and said, "A few days ago, I was suffering from severe back pain and then I went home and had some ice-cream. I soon got fever but continued to shoot because this role is very close to my heart. Even my 5-year old daughter Aradheea keeps asking me to take rest and spend time at home, but as of now I am too focussed on my work."

The show has Harshad Chopda, Pranali Rathod, Jay Soni, Ami Trivedi, Sachin Tyagi and Karishma Sawant playing important roles. The current track focusses on how the little boy Abheer comes to know that Abhinav is not his father and he asks Abhimanyu to help him find his father.
