Sakshi Tanwar’s father trained her for ‘24’

One of Hindi television’s reigning queens, Sakshi Tanwar, is all set to wow the audience in 24 as Shibani Malik, a tough cop. The actress will be seen in the second season of the popular show, which stars Anil Kapoor in the lead. We hear that Sakshi took help from her father to fit into the role of a cop who is out on a mission to save the nation.


A source says, “Sakshi’s father, Rajendra Singh Tanwar, is a retired IB officer. She took training from him to make sure she looker her part in the show. Sakshi felt that since her father is all that her character in the show is - dedicated, sincere and righteous, and even got the President’s Police Medal - he was the best person to train her. For Sakshi, he is her hero. The two spent time talking about ATU and she learnt how to sensibly portray the role. He also gave her tips on how to walk, talk and even conduct interrogations.”

The source adds, “Sakshi’s character is not just determined, but is also a single mother. So, she worked hard to get her character right.”
