Dipannita Sharma slammed
Sanjay Dutt for making a joke about 'his score of over 300 girlfriends' on
The Kapil Sharma Show. The Khatron Ke Khiladi fame actress tweeted about the same.
Along with Sanjay Dutt, Dipannita also criticized Kapil Sharma and the audience for laughing over it.
She wrote, “An actor on a show to promote his next release talks about his score of over 300 girlfriends. The host & audience laughs in good jest. What If a woman said the same thing on a show? Would that be a joke too? This basic gender bias is what has always been wrong. The root of all evil!”
For the uninitiated, in the promo released by the makers, Kapil recalled a scene from Sanjay Dutt’s biopic
Sanju
. Kapil jokingly asked him that a prayer thread has 108 beads, but the movie mentioned about his 308 girlfriends. Sanjay Dutt jokes that the ‘308 count’ might not have ended. Kapil, Archana and audiences laugh out loud.
Followers of Dipannita agreed with her. They shared that the joke was in a bad taste.
