Actor Shaan Groverr was left shattered by the news of Rituraj Singh’s demise. The actor, who was currently seen in TV show Anupamaa passed away last night (February 19) due to cardiac arrest at the age of 59.
Groverr, who has shared screen space with the late actor multiple times, also shared family terms with him.
He said, "Even though Rituraj uncle was my father's friend in no time he became a dear friend of mine. He was someone whom I could always call and ask anything without any hesitation. He was always helping and guiding me in the personal or professional front. Somehow I was never afraid of sharing my problems with him as my heart believed in him and was sure he would advise me right."
Shaan recalls working with him. He continued, "He was very professional and there was so much to learn from him. I remember for the first time we worked together in the short film titled as Kaidi. It was produced by me. Apart from that we did another two projects for the digital platform. He was very humble, kind and full of life. After we worked for a few projects together our bond became stronger. He was a family for me here in Mumbai as my parents are not staying here and are shifted to Delhi."
He expressed grief over his demise and said, "It is hard to believe the fact that he's no longer with us. It's a huge loss as a great talent has departed. I'll miss him but will also remember and celebrate our memories and his works. He has entertained us for over a decade with his acting skills. People who knew him personally will never deny the fact that he was a man with a golden heart. I wish his family and fans find power to recover from the loss."
Rituraj Singh had been battling pancreatic issues for some time. He was recently hospitalised and suffered a cardiac arrest. His death came as a shock to friends and family members, and tributes have been pouring in on social media. He is best known for his roles in TV shows like Tol Mol Ke Bol, Jyoti, Kutumb and Laado 2. Singh also worked in movies like Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Yaariyan 2.
