Shark Tank India 5: Anupam Mittal responds to Tony Stark comparisons; says “They call him Anupam Mittal there”
Anupam Mittal, who is currently seen as one of the judges on Shark Tank India season 5, recently spoke about his signature humour, he offered cheeky views on why hustle matters more than honesty and even joked about being touted as “India’s Tony Stark.
Anupam recently appeared on a podcast with Krishnank Atrey. During the interview, he was asked if he values hustle over honesty, Anupam clarified that although integrity is essential, there are moments when a bit of compromise becomes unavoidable. He said, “Integrity can never be compromised, but you have to be a little dishonest sometimes. Like when your girlfriend or wife asks you how you look – honesty isn’t always the best policy,” he said with a laugh, adding that people shouldn’t take this philosophy too literally.
In the interview, he also said how he would definitely invest in his 25-year-old self. “I had a lot of passion, energy, and determination at that age. If I saw that in someone else, I would invest without hesitation."
Reacting to a question about his colleagues from Shark Tank India, Namita Thapar and Aman Gupta and what roles he would allocate them if they applied for a job with him, he stated he would assign Aman the role of a PR and Namita for operations.
When asked about being called as “India’s Tony Stark,” Anupam playfully responded, “I’ve heard that, people also call him Anupam Mittal there."
In an old interview, with Times of India TV, Anupam had spoken about the comparisons and had said, "Being compared to someone isn’t a big deal. It’s not an achievement. I’d much rather just be myself.”
