Shark Tank India judge Namita Thapar dances to ‘Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar’, calls it her tribute to Asha Bhosle

Namita Thapar, a successful entrepreneur and a judge on Shark Tank India, gave a heartfelt tribute to her favourite singer, Asha Bhosle. She took to her Instagram account to share a video in which she can be seen dancing to one of Asha ji’s iconic songs, "Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar." Namita Thapar stated she skipped the gym that day and chose to dance instead as a tribute to her favourite singer.

In the video, Namita can be seen dancing alongside choreographer Vinayak Ghoshal. She captioned the video as, "Today after a long work day, instead of gym, I decided to dance & pay tribute to my favourite singer Ashaji."

Namita wore a pink-coloured Anarkali suit as she performed to "Abhi Na Jao Chhod Kar".


She added, "RIP, we will miss her!" Namita went on to praise the legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s voice, saying, "This song, her magical voice filled me with boundless energy, love & laughter. I just love old Bollywood songs."

She also briefly spoke about fitness and perimenopause, writing, "Dancing is one of the best forms of exercise, esp for perimenopause."

After Namita Thapar shared a tribute video for Asha Bhosle, fans praised her for enjoying life instead of paying attention to negativity. A fan wrote, "Good to see you ignoring the haters." Another urged her to ignore negativity, "Please ignore all the hate comments."

Namita has been part of the business world for over two decades. She always stays in the spotlight thanks to her stunning fashion choices and her popular dialogue, “meri ismein expertise nahi hai.”

Namita has been part of Shark Tank India for five consecutive seasons. During the show, she formed a close bond with Aman Gupta and the two have become really good friends.
