Pieter Elbers, CEO of an Indian airline, recently marked his two-year tenure with the airline and his time in India by sharing a heartfelt post on LinkedIn. Since taking the helm of one of India’s largest airlines in 2022, Elbers used this milestone to reflect on both his professional successes and personal experiences in the country he now calls home. Shark Tank India judge Anupam Mittal didn’t fail to praise Pieter and made it to the comment section.
Elbers highlighted his airline’s remarkable growth, emphasizing its daily operations of over 2,000 flights, covering more than 430 domestic and 100 international routes. “Our story has just started,” he wrote, expressing his pride in being a part of the journey and its critical role in connecting the nation.
“India’s essence is captured in its beautiful diversity,” Elbers wrote, noting how his travels from Thiruvananthapuram in the south to Leh in the north have enriched his experience. He added, “Bharat ab ghar jaisa lagta hai,” expressing how India has begun to feel like home. His post attracted responses from industry leaders, including Anupam Mittal who commented, “Aap bhi ab ghar wale jaise lagte ho” (You too have become like family now).
