In a recent podcast with Sharan Hegde, Shark Tank India’s Anupam Mittal shared his thoughts on the Pakistani version of the show, Shark Tank Pakistan. Mittal humorously remarked, “Bhai, ho raha kya wahan pe?” as he recounted watching a few clips. “I’ll be honest, for a little I have seen, it was really funny because there are a few things that are fundamentally, technically wrong,” he said, adding a mix of humor and constructive criticism.

While Mittal acknowledged the comedic aspect of some pitches, he highlighted a broader perspective, emphasizing the importance of regional economic growth. “If we as a country want to progress and become a real superpower, then it is very important that our neighboring countries also have economic growth. When you don’t have growth, when you don’t have economic growth, you will create trouble,” he explained. According to Mittal, fostering economic productivity in Pakistan is not just beneficial for its citizens but also crucial for regional stability and India’s progress. “If Pakistan is not productive, it will create trouble, and that trouble we have to live with, which will slow us down. So, it is in our best interest that Shark Tank Pakistan inspires their entire country and puts them to work in the right direction so their economy also grows,” he elaborated. Despite the humor, Mittal expressed his hope that the show could serve as a catalyst for positive change.

Adding to the conversation, Aman Gupta, another Shark Tank India judge, shared his perspective. “I have seen some reels, and some people have tagged me. That 300 crore rupay someone was giving was interesting. Arey, 300 crore Pakistan leke aaye hum, hum toh aisi companies pe invest kar dete hai,” Gupta quipped, blending humor with insight into their own investment strategies.
