Shark Tank India’s Namita Thapar opens up about dealing with trolls and how they made her stronger; “It’s fabulous to delete all the toxic people”
Shark Tank India 5 has been entertaining the audience with its fun as well as entertaining episodes. Namita Thapar and Vineeta Singh are two of the most loved sharks on the show. They recently did a podcast on YouTube for Vineeta Singh’s YouTube channel where they spoke about their personal as well as professional life.
Namita shared how Shark Tank changed her personality completely. She revealed turning from a people pleaser to now not caring what people think of her. She also mentioned that Shark Tank came with a lot of trolls and hence she had to make this change in her life. The two also shared about their motherhood journey and balancing personal and professional life.
While talking about the trolls, Namita shared, “I was always strong, but I did care about external validation. I cared about being liked and my social image. As women, we do care about these things. I don’t wanna lie, but I did care about what people thought of me. I wanted to be popular, and I wanted people to think well of me. I wanted them to think of me as a good girl.”
She further said, “I wanted all the labels, and I cared so much about them. However, Shark Tank did that to me. I was trolled so much that I went to the other extreme. I was like, I don’t give a damn. It is so fabulous to delete all the toxic people from your life. It doesn’t affect me anymore.”
Namita also shared how she’s loving the new version of herself and mentioned, “If I think that what I’m doing is right, I don’t care about what people think. I absolutely love, love, love this new version of me, and so many people are coming and telling me, ‘Why are you looking so happy? You are looking so much younger,’ and stuff like that, and it is only because I’ve stopped caring about such things.”
