The shocking incident of open firing outside YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav’s house has left many stunned and concerned for his safety. The incident occurred in Gurugram’s Sector 57 on the morning of August 17, raising serious concerns about law and order.
The news created a wave of shock on social media, with fans and celebrities expressing their concern. Bigg Boss 13 fame Shefali Bagga shared her thoughts on the matter, saying she was “shocked beyond words.” She questioned the absence of authorities and raised concerns about safety in the city. “Where is the police, where is the security, the media, the authorities for support? These types of firings keep happening in our city, and we talk about freedom and security? Stay strong, Elvish,” she wrote.
Another celebrity, Siwet Tomar, also reacted strongly. He criticized the Delhi government, saying the focus was on removing stray dogs while crimes like these were taking place. On Twitter, he wrote, “Delhi government ko pehle Delhi mein badhti gundagardi rokni chahiye. Inko lagta hai kutte hatana important hai. Seriously, ek public figure ke ghar ke bahar log goliyan chalake ja rahe, yeh to haal hai aur inhe lagta dog bites problem hai. Wow yaar wow.”
In another post, Siwet compared the attack to cowardice, stating that targeting a family shows weakness. “Parivaar pe attack karna buzdilon ka kaam hota hai. Jab lakadbaghe sher ka kuch nahi kar paate to uske parivaar pe attack karte hain.”
According to Sandeep Kumar, PRO of Gurugram Police, three masked men fired more than a dozen rounds outside the residence at around 5:30 a.m. Luckily, Elvish was not at home when the firing took place, and no one from his family was harmed. Soon after, the notorious Himanshu Bhau gang claimed responsibility through an alleged Instagram post, accusing Elvish of promoting gambling.
Meanwhile, Elvish himself broke his silence through Instagram stories, reassuring fans that he and his family were safe. “I would like to extend my sincere gratitude for your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your kind thoughts and concern are truly appreciated. Thank you,” he wrote.
Police have started investigating the matter and assured that strict action will be taken against this.
