in 'Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin', she is a nurse who is cutthroat and rude. It's completely a negative role. If I talk about my third role of suman in 'Maddam Sir', she is simple, funny, possessive, a little confused. She is a loving wife and homemaker. So an an actor I need to stay prepared to essay them all perfectly which is a huge challenge."Donal Bisht, who was last seen in reality TV show Bigg Boss 15, is currently working on a web show and shooting in Delhi. ETimes TV caught up with the actress from Delhi, where she spoke about her happy feelings as she gets to shoot from her home, shifting focus to OTT for some time, her short Bigg Boss stint and more.
It just feels great. I never thought that I would get to shoot in Delhi and I would be able to stay with my family. In Mumbai, after the shoot I would come back to an empty house. In Delhi, when I come back to my family, it just feels amazing. I would call my parents in Mumbai and here they are in front of my eyes. I get pampered so much. It’s been a couple of months, I have been shooting here. It’s lovely.
The lockdown was a good unlearning experience. We got to see world cinema. That was a good time for me to shift from TV to web. I am loving this process of becoming the character.
I don’t know that right now. I am busy doing a web show. I know everyone is very eager to see me on TV again. It’s been 2 years now I left TV. That was a good break for me. It’s been very rejuvenating. Leaving that baggage of TV and evolving as a person, an actor and being able to do what I love… It's good. I just completed a South film as well after Bigg Boss. So that’s in the pipeline too.
As the platform is, everybody wants to be seen. So people are doing what that can to be seen to make a mark. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that. Everybody’s ways are different. Mine are different. I want to be seen through my work. Everybody’s content is different from what was happening there.
People are very different. You see them in the outside world and you can go away from them if you don’t like some people. But in that house I cannot stay. I have evolved as a person. I have become more mature. I can handle things differently. I don’t know how much was seen. There was a lot of footage which was actually cut. I saw later. But I didn’t go there to create footage. I have learnt a lot.
Wild card contestant or a guest, I don’t know. They might call me if and when my film releases, maybe. I am done and dusted as a contestant.
Afsana Khan. She has been making lovely music. She always messages me. I congratulate her on her work. Her wedding was such a happy one. How lovely she looked. Saajz and Afsana make a lovely couple.
