Shoaib Ibrahim reveals wife Dipika Kakar has been diagnosed with liver tumor, to undergo surgery; says 'Family Worried for baby Ruhaan who still relies on breastfeeding'

Sasural Simar Ka actress Dipika Kakar’s recent health update has left fans and well-wishers concerned. In his latest vlog, her husband and actor Shoaib Ibrahim shared that Dipika has been diagnosed with a liver tumor. She had been experiencing stomach pain for the past few months, and after undergoing several medical tests, doctors confirmed the presence of a tumor that now requires surgical removal. Shoaib also mentioned that the entire family, especially Dipika, is anxious about their son Ruhaan, who still depends on breastfeeding. Shoaib shared that Dipika hasn’t been feeling well and is dealing with a stomach issue that has turned out to be serious. He explained that while he was in Chandigarh, Dipika began experiencing stomach pain. At first, they assumed it was just acidity, so she started treating it accordingly. However, when the pain didn’t subside, she decided to consult their family doctor—the same one who had treated Shoaib’s father. The doctor prescribed antibiotics and advised her to get some blood tests done. Dipika continued the medication until May 5th, and by the time Shoaib returned home, she seemed to be feeling better. But after celebrating his father's birthday, she again started experiencing pain. Around the same time, her blood test results came in, showing signs of an infection in her body. (Photo: Instagram)

He further added, “Our doctor asked us to visit again and when we met him he asked us to do a CT scan and it showed that Dipika has a tumor in the left lobe of her liver. It is bigger in size like a tennis ball. It was very shocking for us.” (Photo: Instagram)

The Ajooni actor further shared that when they showed the reports to their doctor, he asked Dipika to get admitted. Shoaib said that the first thing that came to their mind when they heard about the tumor was, is it “cancerous”.? He said, “Our Doctor informed us that the CT scan doesn’t say it is cancerous but they can’t confirm. To be sure they asked us to do a few more tests and Dipika has been admitted to the Advanced hospital for the last three days. Dipika has gone through all the tests like CT scan, sonography, blood test and Alhamdulillah till now none of the tests shows any kind of cancerous issue. Shoaib informed that the tumor can’t be treated without surgery hence Dipika will be undergoing surgery soon. He said, “The tumor has to be removed from the body. She was in the hospital for the last three days. She got discharged today and I got her home..” (Photo: Instagram)

Dipika is going to meet a Liver specialist on Friday to discuss her treatment. Shoaib revealed, “The doctor was asking to stay back because tomorrow again, she has to go to Kokilaben hospital to meet the liver specialist. He will guide us about the future treatment. But I thought she would feel better at home because of the atmosphere. Till now there are no cancerous cells found but the other tests need to be also done to be completely sure. Shoaib and Dipika are currently worried about their two-year-old son Ruhaan, who has never stayed away from his mother for long hours. Sharing his emotional state, Shoaib said, “The biggest threat we all are currently facing is how we are going to manage Ruhaan. The Ajooni actor also expressed how difficult the coming time is going to be for them as Ruhaan is still breastfeeding. He revealed, “Ruhaan is exclusively on breast feeding and he has never tasted any other form of milk. The weaning process hasn’t begun yet, which makes the process delicate. How much ever we feed him other stuff he needs breast milk, at least for some time. Dipika wakes up during midnight so many times to breastfeed and Ruhaan asks for it. We are stressed about how we will manage it. Especially during the surgery time as we don’t know yet for how many days Dipika and he will have to stay apart.” (Photo: Instagram)

In the video, Shoaib went on to reveal how Dipika broke down into tears when she realised she will have to be away from Ruhaan. “We don’t know the situation yet but Dipika is very worried. The moment Dipika saw the report, the first thing that stuck her was how will Ruhaan stay without her and she got emotional. We are trying to give him milk formula but he has not been able to adjust to it, he keeps asking for Dipika to breastfeed him. We consulted his paediatrician and she suggested we give him outside milk for a few days.” (Photo: Instagram)

Shoaib Ibrahim and Dipika Kakar were seen at Kokilaben Hospital on Friday, May 16. A YouTube channel attempted to speak with Shoaib, but he respectfully declined to comment. Shoaib took this moment to request everyone to pray for Dipika. He spoke about the time when his father had suffered a brain stroke and was serious. He shared that it was the prayers of everyone that worked for him and this time again they want everyone’s blessings and prayers to tackle the situation. We want her surgery to go well and the two three reports that we are expecting to be done we hope and pray they don’t have any signs of cancer.
