Shubhangi Atre: My mother and sisters are my biggest emotional strength
For actor Shubhangi Atre, known for shows like Do Hanson Ka Jodaa, Havan, Chidiya Ghar, and Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!, Mother’s Day is not limited to celebrating just one person. For her, it is about honouring the three women who have been her strongest pillars—her mother and her two sisters.
“I always say that I have three mothers in my life—my mother and my two sisters. The love and care I receive from them is something I cannot explain in words,” Shubhangi shares emotionally. “We share a very close bond. Even if we are busy with our own lives, we always stay emotionally connected. They are my safest place.”
The actress says the values she carries today come largely from her upbringing and the lessons taught by her family. “My mother always taught us that no matter how difficult life gets, family should never drift apart. My sisters are exactly the same—they have always supported me, protected me, and guided me whenever I needed them,” she says.
Reflecting on some of her most cherished memories, Shubhangi admits that it is the simplest moments she values the most. “Some of my favourite memories are just sitting together at home, talking for hours, laughing over silly things, and eating food made by my mother. Those moments gave me real happiness,” she recalls warmly.
Speaking about motherhood and sacrifices, the actress says she truly began understanding her mother’s silent strength only after taking on responsibilities herself. “Mothers never show their struggles. They quietly keep giving love without expecting anything in return. Today, I respect my mother and sisters even more for everything they’ve done for me,” she says.
