Sunil Grover’s two-story house reflects nature in all its glory; a peek into the peaceful abode designed by his wife Aarti

Sunil Gover recently made noise with his comeback with former friend and co-actor Kapil Sharma in The Kapil Sharma Show. The actor and comedian gave a peek into his house recently, which is designed by his wife Aarti. Sunil’s two-floor house has a lot of earthy elements and reflects his artistic persona. In an interaction with a digital portal, Sunil Grover gave a tour of his lavish and expansive home. Take a look at the house.

Before giving everyone a tour of his house, Sunil Grover showed two walls, which are hand-painted by artists. While one of the two-storey wall has a floral mural, one of living room wall has a big tree mural. Sunil in his inimitable style says, “There’s a plant in the living room but you don’t need to water it as it is painted.”

The living room opens up to the balcony, that gives a vast panoramic view of the city’s skyline. Sunil shared, “The interesting thing is, the places where I have lived before I bought this home, can be seen from here. It’s like an album of my whole journey.” Sitting on the sofa, facing the balcony, Sunil said, “I like to sit this way because the whole view is at your disposal. You feel like a king sometimes.”

The entire kitchen has Moroccan print colourful tiles and Sunil showed the interesting part of the kitchen. It has got 360 angle rotating windows. Her idea was to get ample view of the skyline but Sunil’s favourite thing about the windows is – to rotate them. He further added, “I love to cook. But what I cook, others don’t love to eat.”

“I started with 1 room kitchen apartment. It was a rented apartment and I was equally happy. After 2-3 years, I added another bedroom, and the bedrooms increased. It doesn’t matter how many bedrooms or carpet area you have. You should be happy. I was equally happy when I was living in a rented apartment. To have a home in Mumbai is in itself not an easy thing,” shared Sunil.

The actor and comedian is passionate about reading. He showed his favorite corner, which has a vast collection of his favourite books, scripts. Sunil added here, “When you feel your body is scratching, while reading scripts, you shouldn’t do such projects. But I did a few of them.”

The two-storey house is thoughtfully divided. Sunil showed the best part that he likes in the upper floor – the carved doors. His wife Aarti made it and he loves how neatly they are carved. There’s also a fun element added in the room – black board wall and golden frames hanged on them, where one can write, draw whatever they want.

Sunil introduced his wife Aarti, who designed the house. Sharing the concept behind the house, Aarit said, “It has to be eye pleasing and heart pleasing. We travel to a lot of places. But when we come home, we feel wow. We wanted very non-attention seeking upholstery. We designed the house to please ourselves not to impress anyone.”

The house is filled with several quirky artefacts and elements. Form a sound-proof TV room to a piano to a fridge magnet with The Kapil Sharma Show’s team, Sunil Grover’s house truly reflects his journey. He added, “Happiness is not measured with the carpet area or bedrooms, it is measured with people you live with.”
