This week in the television industry has ended on a mixed note. While the much-awaited #Dishul wedding took place; the industry also lost the reknowned actress Surekha Sikri. And while congratulations are ringing in for Rahul Vaidya and Disha Parmar, the industry is also grappling with the demise of the Balika Vadhu actress. Balika Vadhu fame actress Surekha Sikri, 75, passed away on July 16. The three-time National award-winning actress was suffering from complications after a brain stroke. Well known for her outstanding work in the Hindi TV and film industry, the actress breathed her last after suffering a cardiac arrest. "She had been suffering from complications arising from a second brain stroke," the actor's agent Vivek Sidhwani said.

Celebrities in the television and film industry mourned the demise of the fantastic actress and shared their experience of working with her. While many took to their social media to pay condolences, others candidly shared their heartfelt remembrance notes with ETimes TV too. Surekha Sikri’s fellow actors from Balika Vadhu including Avika Gor, Shashank Vyan, Avinash Mukherjee, Toral Rasputra, Smita Bansal, Annup Soni and many others shared their fondest memories of the actress.

Bigg Boss 14 fame Rahul Vaidya tied the knot with actress Disha Parmar in a traditional wedding ceremony today (July 16). The wedding took place in Mumbai and was a grand affair with celebrations along with family and friends. Several pictures and videos from their wedding ceremonies are doing rounds on the internet.

Rahul and Disha complemented each other in their regal looks. While Disha looked absolutely stunning in a bright red lehenga, Rahul looked dapper in an off-white sherwani.

Pandya Store actress Shiny Doshi tied the knot with her boyfriend Lavesh Kahirajani on July 15. The couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony involving their close friends and family. Various beautiful pictures from their dreamy wedding were out on social media soon after the rituals were performed. Shiny wore a red traditional sari for her wedding while her groom Lavesh sported a white traditional attire. The couple was also seen stealing a kiss in one of the pictures from the festivities.

Roadies fame Rannvijay Singha and wife Prianka Singha welcomed their second baby on July 12. The couple was blessed with a baby boy. The actor announced the news on social media by sharing a picture of a little red jersey. The couple was flooded with congratulatory messages from friends in the industry. In another post, Rannvijay also gave the first glimpse of their baby boy.

Bigg Boss 7 fame Tanishaa Mukerji recently joined ETimes TV for an exclusive interview and shared about the time when she was constantly compared to her sister Kajol. There have been points in life at the beginning of my career when everybody looked at me and expected me to look like Kajol, act like Kajol and beat Kajol. I was like, ‘I can’t be her. She’s got green eyes, much taller than me, curly hair and she’s nothing like me.’ I am sure she must have also had it when mom (Tanuja) was concerned. Naamkaran actress Anaya Soni is going through a rough phase owing to her health and financial issues. The actress, who is fighting a grim battle with her kidney failure, has no savings left to look after herself. When contacted by ETimes TV, she shared, “I have been living on one kidney since 2015. My both kidneys had failed 6 years ago and my father donated a kidney to me. Suddenly, the donated kidney has deteriorated and I need a fresh kidney transplant. I never dreamt of such a situation when I was doing shows like 'Naamkaran' and 'Crime Patrol'.”

Bhabiji Gar Par Hain’s Soma Rathod recently spoke about her viral younger days picture in an interview with ETimes TV. the actress who is seen in a completely different avatar from her current look in the viral pic shared that she was surprised to see it. She said, “A few people forwarded the picture to me and said, it has gone viral. I wasn't even aware of it. Yes, that is my photo from when I was 20 years old and my weight was 52. I was trying my luck in the entertainment industry, and had got the photoshoot done thinking that whatever I get - be it movies or modelling, I will take it up. But, I was more interested in acting.”

Anmol Chaudhary, who was seen in Splitsvilla X recently, revealed that she is a single mother to a son. Post which in an exclusive interview with BT, she opened up about hiding her pregnancy and shared about her journey. She revealed about her pregnancy and shared that the baby’s father wanted her to abort it. Anmol told, “I had planned to abort the child but I didn’t want to anymore. I was confused and was praying to God for guidance. I remember getting a call at that point and there was a kid’s voice on the other side. It was a wrong number but I just felt it was a sign; God wanted me to have my baby. My former lover was against it, but I was firm that I would go ahead with the pregnancy. My friends thought after a week or so, I would change my mind, but I didn’t.”

Few days back FIR actress Kavita Kaushik shared a fresh picture on her Twitter handle. However, little did she know that the picture would lead to her getting trolled by a netizen, who left a nasty comment on it. He wrote, “बूढ़ी घोड़ी लाल लगाम।”. The comment caught Kavita’s attention and she didn’t keep calm about it. She took to her Twitter and slammed the user saying, “Bhaiya maine toh koi laal lagaam nahi lagaai, make up bhi nahi kiya, thoda lipbalm hai bass, aur budha toh aapka baap bhi hoga, MA bhi hogi toh kya kare ? Splitsvilla fame Aradhana Sharma who appeared in a cameo role in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah recently shared about all that she has faced in life and what she looks forward to in her career. She shared about an incident when she faced the casting couch and was body-shamed too. Aradhana revealed, “We send our portfolios to various casting agencies and one of them was looking for a ‘pretty, beautiful lead’ role. So I told the casting agent to forward my portfolio and he said, ‘I have written here pretty but you are not pretty’. These were his words. He told me I don’t fit in ‘pretty and beautiful’ and will give roles which will fit me. I was also called a ‘she-male’ because of my body. I am really into fitness and had learnt martial arts too. So people would say I look ‘mardaana’. I also get body-shamed a lot.”
